On Monday, Forssmed held a meeting with, among others, mobile operators Telia and Tele2 and electronics chains Elgiganten and Netonnet.
"I want to shake hands with them. It should be about informing them that the recommendation exists, offering age-appropriate alternatives to smartphones and adapting their marketing to the Public Health Agency's recommendation," he says.
As an example, he mentions phones that can make calls and send text messages but do not have internet access.
I think it is reasonable for companies in the market to adhere to the recommendations that exist to protect children and young people.
