US President Donald Trump has threatened attacks on Iran if no agreement can be reached, and the US is building up its military presence in the region.
Now the ball is in the US's court to prove it wants to reach an agreement, says Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi in an interview with the BBC.
We are ready to discuss this and other issues related to our program if they are ready to talk about sanctions,” he says.
At the same time, informed US officials tell Reuters that the US military is preparing for a possible operation against Iran that could last for several weeks.
