SVT's Uppdrag granskning has reported that social workers use methods that lack research support in conversations with children when there are suspicions that they have been subjected to violence or abuse.
Social services must be able to protect children, but every investigation must be legally sound and knowledge-based, Waltersson Grönvall tells the TV channel.
Researchers warn in Uppdrag granskning that the lack of national guidelines on investigative interviews with children means they are carried out in completely different ways.
It is not acceptable that children's legal security is determined by the municipality they live in, says the Minister of Social Services.
