Culture Minister Parisa Liljestrand (M) has chickens at home – but had missed registering them with the Board of Agriculture. Thus, she broke against the EU's regulatory framework, reports Expressen.

After the newspaper's questions, she has now registered her chickens.

"I'm afraid I'm not alone, so I'll take the opportunity to tip off all who read this and have so-called hobby chickens to ensure they have the correct permits, it was easy to register with the Board of Agriculture", says Parisa Liljestrand in a written comment.

The requirement to register chickens with the Board of Agriculture has been in place since 2021 and aims to enable the animals to be traced in the event of a disease outbreak.
