Documents filed with the Swedish Companies Registration Office show the dividend is from his company Notch Enterprise. This is not the first time that the Minecraft founder has withdrawn over half a billion kronor in dividends from the company. Breakit notes, however, that in a dividend before last summer he withdrew only 350 million kronor.
Markus “Notch” Persson founded Mojang, which is behind the blockbuster Minecraft. He became a multi-billionaire when he sold the hit game to Microsoft in 2014 for around SEK 18 billion.
