The region's coordination group wants to see a modular-based system instead of the Millennium medical record system, which failed during its implementation last year.
The issue will be raised in the regional board in December. However, the opposition parties Moderates, Christian Democrats, Center Party and Liberals have already supported the recommendation.
Helén Eliasson also does not believe that Millennium is the right way forward.
