Russia's President Vladimir Putin is not after peace in Ukraine and is blind to everything except displaying power.
This says Mike Pence, who was Donald Trump's Vice President during his first term, to CNN:
If the last three years have taught us anything, it is that Vladimir Putin does not want peace, he wants Ukraine.
Pence also spoke about the chaotic meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyj, which the ex-Vice President described as "regrettable". At the same time, he was significantly more optimistic about the mineral agreement between the USA and Ukraine, which according to Pence sends a "deafening message to Moscow" that Washington and Kyiv intend to cooperate for a foreseeable time.
