Mikaela Laurén lifted the WBF light welterweight world championship belt during the Boxen Im Norden boxing gala in Hamburg, Germany. This came after her victory over German Lena Venjacob, 35.
After 43 minutes in the ring, Venjacob threw in the towel and Laurén won via unanimous decision.
"It's my eighth title, but this one means the most to me. I made history today. I'm in the form of my life," the Swede told German Bild.
At 50 years old, Laurén is the oldest world boxing champion ever.
Laurén retired from boxing in 2019, but made her return to the ring in 2024. Earlier this year, she fought a match during Stockholm Box Night, followed by Saturday's world title clash.
Laurén already has seven world titles and ten victories in world championship fights.
