Midwife in Skåne criticized after home births for not clearly informing patients about risks

The criticism, which comes from the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo), covers a number of points, Sydsvenskan reports.

For example, medication has been prescribed orally, which should only be done in emergency situations, and individual doctors' prescriptions for medication have been lacking. Furthermore, record keeping is criticized.

In order to continue her work, the midwife must report to Ivo how the deficiencies will be addressed.
