One of the two weapons the suspected shooter is said to have used was found by middle-school children in a wooded area near a school in Uppsala. The weapon, a magazine and ammunition were in a black toiletry bag that was found six months after the shooting.
"I don't think they really fully understood what they found. We made sure to talk to all the children involved and told them that they had acted correctly," principal Tomas Rylander told the newspaper.
Six people, all young and some under 18, were shot in the lower body when the suspect opened fire on Södra Kungsgatan in Gävle on the night of Saturday, October 4.
