The American software- and cloud giant Microsoft has promised to remove its video conferencing service Teams from the company's popular Office package.

The measure is promised in an agreement with the EU Commission, which has investigated Microsoft's setup as anti-competitive.

The decision can however have political consequences, as the President of the USA Donald Trump has recently made aggressive statements about how the EU regulates the actions of the American tech giants in Europe.

The EU Commission has previously warned Microsoft that it believes the company has unfairly used its dominant position on the software market to promote the use of Teams over other video conferencing systems on the market.
