Microsoft Gains 27 Percent Stake in Open AI Under New Agreement

Microsoft and Chat GPT owner Open AI have entered into a new ownership agreement, which clarifies the structure of the companies' partnership. The agreement gives Microsoft a 27 percent ownership stake, which is valued at around 135 billion dollars (approximately 1,270 billion kronor).

Microsoft will according to the agreement also have access to Open AI's technology until 2032, which also includes models for artificial intelligence developed by Open AI.

Open AI also undertakes to purchase cloud services from Microsoft's Azure for 250 billion dollars.

Microsoft's share rises 4 percent on Wall Street after the message.
