The actress Michelle Trachtenberg died as a result of complications from diabetes, according to a forensic pathologist in New York, reports NBC News.
In February, it was reported that the American actress would not be autopsied as her family opposed it for religious reasons. Therefore, no cause of death could be established.
It was in February this year that 39-year-old Michelle Trachtenberg, known from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Gossip Girl", was found dead in an apartment on Manhattan in New York.
Just before her death, she had undergone a liver transplant, according to NBC New York's source. Why she underwent the transplantation is not known.
There are no suspicions of crime, says the police.
