Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals jersey sells for record $13.3 million at auction

Another match-worn jersey from basketball legend Michael Jordan has sold for a record 140 million kronor (about $13.3 million) - the highest price ever paid for a basketball jersey at auction.

The jersey is a signed Chicago Bulls away jersey worn by Jordan during the 1998 NBA Finals.

The 1998 Finals are known as Jordan’s “last dance” in a Bulls uniform. He also won the NBA title that year.

Just over two weeks ago, a home jersey worn by Jordan during the 1998 Finals was sold for 122 million kronor (about $11.6 million).

Jordan led the Bulls to six NBA titles: three in a row from 1991 to 1993 and three from 1996 to 1998.

The record for the sale of a game-worn sports jersey is 243 million kronor (about $23.1 million). The jersey was worn by baseball icon Babe Ruth.
