According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two stars have signed on for the upcoming film "Miami Vice '85" after lengthy negotiations.
The film will, like the cult series, be about police officers Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs and Sonny Crockett. Unlike the 2006 film adaptation, the new film will take place in the 1980s.
“Miami Vice '85” is directed by Joseph Kosinski (who directed “F1” and “Top Gun: Maverick”) and is expected to premiere in the summer of 2027.
