Malmö FF's coach Henrik Rydström is ruling out the prestige acquisition Sead Haksabanovic for the rest of the season. It's a setback, of course, says Rydström to Sydsvenskan.

MFF has a hectic autumn where the team is storming towards a new Swedish Championship gold at the same time as playing in the Europa League.

After the loss at home against Glasgow Rangers on Thursday, Mjällby awaits at home on Sunday.

The prestige recruitment Sead Haksabanovic, who was supposed to replace Sebastian Nanasi, has only made a few short appearances since he arrived last summer.

Now he is missing due to lumbar problems.

The exact medical terms and causes we can leave until later in the week, but it is highly unlikely that he will play a single minute more for us this year, says Rydström and continues:

It is of course not good. We knew that we would sell Nanasi and Haksabanovic was a direct replacement, so it is a setback, of course.

Malmö leads the Allsvenskan with an eight-point margin to second-place Djurgården with six rounds left of the Allsvenskan.
