In a post on X, Mexican Security Minister Omar García Harfuch wrote that those extradited "pose a real threat to the country's security."
This is the third time in the past 12 months that Mexico has sent arrested criminals to its northern neighbor. According to Harfuch, the extraditions involved a total of 92 people.
Tuesday's action comes at a time when Trump has repeatedly accused Mexico and several other countries in Latin America of not doing enough to prevent drug smuggling into the United States.
