The comedian and program leader Messiah Hallberg will be the host for this year's Kristallengala.
"I have been on TV 42 times this year. Who is then more suitable than me to hand out these fine prizes?", he says in a press release.
The gala is held at Cirkus in Stockholm on September 4, and is broadcast live on SVT Play. The winners are chosen by an independent jury, and in addition to the audience's prize, the Female Program Leader of the Year, the Male Program Leader of the Year and the Audience's Favorite Program are also chosen.
Anders Knave, chairman of the foundation Det svenska tevepriset which awards the prize, believes that the gala will get a both humorous and sharp tone with Hallberg as program leader.
