Messi set to buy Spanish second-division club Eldense, his second club purchase in Spain

CD Eldense confirms that Messi has reached an agreement in principle to become the majority owner of the club, which is based in the town of Elda, in the province of Alicante.

In April this year, Messi bought the football club Cornella, which plays in Spain's fourth division.

Messi, 39, plays for American club Inter Miami and ended his international career after Argentina's final loss to Spain in the World Cup.
