The 39-year-old Argentine scored his 100th goal against Cruz Azul in tonight's Campeones Cup, the annual match between the champions of Mexico's Liga MX and the MLS in the United States and Canada.
The goal gave Miami a 1-0 lead, before Messi played a part in making it 2-0, which was the final score. The veteran was thus able to celebrate the milestone with another trophy for Miami. Messi has played a total of 115 games in just over three years at the club, according to the AP.
He scored his 100th goal for Barcelona in 2010, but had to wait until 2023 before he repeated the feat for the Argentine national team.
