A couple of members from the Tidö parties were stuck on the train between Gothenburg and Stockholm, but so were members from C and V.
But the Tidö parties managed. The closest votes ended 172–171. Six members were absent. Gradually, members who had been stuck on the train also came running into the chamber.
One of them was Ingemar Kihlström (KD), who describes the situation on the train as "frustrating and stressful".
"We know that we have a very fragile situation with political savages. Every decision that aligns with what the government wants to implement is a relief for me," he says.
The Riksdag approved, among other things, the elimination of permanent residence permits, a new ten-point grading system and the government's spring budget.
The reason for the tension is that the Riksdag no longer has a set-off system since the Sweden Democrats (SD) violated the parties' agreement.
