"The aim is to give more people the opportunity to vote for their favorite, even those who cannot follow the broadcast live. We are testing this year and will take the viewers' feedback into account in how we will continue to develop the voting," says Anders Wistbacka, Melodifestivalen's project manager, in a press release.
Early voting takes place in the Melodifestivalen app between March 2 and 6. It is only valid with Radiohjälpsröster, and you can vote five times per entry. Radiohjälpsröster cost 10 kronor each.
The votes cast during the period will be collected and counted in the "Radiohjälpen" viewer group when the votes are compiled during the final on March 7.
During the final broadcast, it is also possible to vote for free with so-called heart votes.
