In the final qualifying round after the fifth heat of Melodifestivalen in Sundsvall on February 28, the last two finalists will be chosen from the five entries that have so far finished third in the heats.
First, the entry that receives the most votes among all the third-placed acts from the semi-finals goes directly to the final in the Strawberry Arena.
Then the Radiohjälpen votes via phone and app will be counted. This is done for reasons of fairness, as the app has been updated during the competition and has allowed users to vote multiple times per round.
But when the second finalist is chosen through voting during the program, the Radiohjälpen votes cast during the evening will be counted as usual.
