The Melodifestivalen tour begins on February 6 in Karlstad. There will then be semi-finals in Gothenburg, Malmö, Halmstad and Norrköping. The final on March 13 is in the Strawberry Arena outside Stockholm, as usual.
The northern parts of Sweden will be without a semi-final.
"Because Melodifestivalen is the whole of Sweden's celebration, we want to offer a sparkling party throughout the country over the years. That's why it feels fantastic to return to Karlstad, Halmstad and Norrköping - three cities with an incredible audience," says Melodifestivalen project manager Anders Wistbacka in a press release.
Interest in next year's Melodifestivalen is at a record high among songwriters. 4,077 entries have been submitted, which is the highest number in the competition's history.
The artists who will be participating in Melodifestivalen will be announced later. However, it is clear that Björn Kjellman and Oscar Zia will be the hosts.
