The first lady will receive Ukrainian and Russian representatives at the White House, according to a press release.
“This marks an extraordinary moment in American history,” the White House statement reads.
Melania Trump has previously been cited as a contributing factor in the humanitarian ceasefire recently implemented in Oleshky, Ukraine.
It is unclear when the White House meeting will take place or exactly who will attend. It is already known that Ukrainian and Russian representatives will meet in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, next week, on November 10-11, under US mediation.
