In the entry "Dooset Daram", Meira Omar dances on a large rock, holds a burning candle in her hand and dances her way to the front of the stage to finally throw sand into the air.
The recurring earth elements are supposed to represent a passionate declaration of love, but during the rehearsal, not everything went as planned - the sand hit one of the dancers in the eye.
Ah, she got it, so we have to learn to throw the sand correctly. Poor thing, says Meira Omar.
Broke
Rock band Smash Into Pieces, who are participating in Melodifestivalen for the third time, also encountered challenges. Singer Chris Adam got sick with a stomach ache earlier this week and was absent during rehearsals.
The remaining members practiced, but had problems with their backpacks, which are connected by hoses to a platform on stage. During the rehearsal, Per Bergquist's backpack broke when the fastener on his back came loose.
We're going to use some metal and put some screws in the back so that it's fixed, says the band's guitarist.
The debutants did not have any major slip-ups on stage. Debutant Cimberly, who is used to television after participating in Idol, says she feels "a little nervous about Saturday" but that she knows how to calm her nerves.
I've had some voice problems, and what really strains my voice is talking. But I think talking is so much fun that it's hard, she says, adding that she's going to unwind with a few quiet evenings in her hotel room.

Calming effect
Erika Jonsson, who participates with the entry "Från landet", sings about being good as you are and not having to pretend to be someone else. She feels confident in her performance.
It was the first time I used in-ear monitors, so it was a little wobbly at first, but it felt good.
One person who has not appeared in any television production is Felix Manu. He does not feel nervous and is most excited about Saturday.
I still think it went very well. It's the first time I've done something like this in my life.

Timo Räisänen, who is also making his debut, has no nerves.
It's completely crazy. It's more like I'm starting to get nervous that I'm not nervous at all, he says.
I think it has a calming effect on the others.
