The actress Meg Westergren is awarded the Karl Gerhard Society's annual Fatima Prize.
"With a successful and extensive career, Meg Westergren is a piece of living, Swedish theatre history. Already in the early 1960s, she collaborated with Karl Gerhard at the Vasateatern in Stockholm. That collaboration continued in several productions over the coming decades", the society writes in a press release.
The prize amount is 25,000 kronor and will be awarded on April 12.
The Fatima Prize was established last year on the occasion of the Karl Gerhard Society's 40th anniversary. It was instituted together with Fatima Svendsen, Karl Gerhard's daughter.
