The artist duo Medina broke against SVT's rules during their participation in "Allsång på Skansen" on June 24. Then the duo wore the Palestinian scarf keffiyeh visibly. Three TV viewers reported SVT to the Media Authority. The duo then posted a picture on Instagram where the "Allsång" sign was dressed in a keffiyeh.

It is not allowed to use the "Allsång" logo in an improper manner, according to SVT.

On Tuesday evening, Medina removed the picture, reports Expressen.

"The picture was taken entirely for our own sake – without a thought that it would cause so much commotion. The picture is now removed. Not because we regret our stance, but because we respect the rules surrounding what we choose to participate in. If you think a pattern is political, you can think that. But the irony is striking: That people get more upset over what we wear than over the brutal, ongoing genocide is astonishing", the artists write on Instagram.
