After almost two years, the Mediation Institute is now giving up on the parties reaching an agreement, reports SR Ekot.
We have tried in all possible ways to get the parties to approach each other, in a way that makes this conflict cease, says the authority's director-general Irene Wennemo and continues:

The Mediation Institute initiated the case in October 2023 after IF Metall had notified a strike to obtain a collective agreement with Tesla in Sweden.
In a report, the Mediation Institute writes, according to SR, that the case has not resembled any other, that it has been about different ideologies and that the company is part of a conglomerate where the Swedish management has had "highly limited scope for its own decisions".
