Israel carried out new airstrikes on Lebanon's capital Beirut overnight on Friday, Lebanese media reported, according to AFP.
The attacks were reportedly aimed at the city's southern suburbs, which are considered a stronghold for the Shia militia Hezbollah. AFP correspondents confirmed that explosions were heard in the area, which Israel has repeatedly attacked in recent weeks.
