Remains of more than 120 dead Palestinians have been found on roads and under rubble in Jabalia in northern Gaza, according to media reports.
The reports come after Israel completed a three-week operation in the area.
Ambulance and civil defense personnel continue to find remains in the devastated Jabalia, reports Turkish Anatolia and the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
The Anatolia news agency refers to medical sources at Gaza's Kamal Adwan Hospital, which says the total number of bodies is around 120. According to Wafa, the search continues for additional people reported missing.
Israeli forces have carried out massive bombings alongside a comprehensive ground offensive against Jabalia near Gaza City. Over the weekend, Israel's army announced it was withdrawing from the area. Since then, men, women, and children have returned to the streets where their homes once stood – now consisting of gray concrete rubble, according to AFP correspondents on the scene.
According to Israel's military, seven people taken hostage by Hamas during the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel have been returned to Israel during the operation.
