The media category that decreased the most in August was DR/advertising magazine, which backed down 32 percent compared to August last year. Also, advertising revenues for magazines, outdoor/traffic advertising, radio, daily press, TV and cinema decreased.
On the other hand, investments in the digital media category continued to grow. During the first half of 2025, investments in the podcast category have increased by 42 percent to over 100 million kronor. The figures should, however, be viewed with some caution since the category was introduced in 2024, writes Sveriges mediebyråer in a press release.
The total media investments in August this year amounted to just over 1 billion kronor.
