The price of meat increased by 1.7 percent in February, according to Matpriskollen. This was mainly due to rising beef prices.
Fruit and berries rose by 0.8 percent, while fish and shellfish rose 0.4 percent. Vegetables and dairy products fell by 0.6 percent.
"The slowdown in the rate of increase is because the beginning of 2025 saw sharp rises, particularly in dairy products. Also, many major raw materials have become cheaper during the year and our currency has strengthened," says CEO Ulf Mazur in a press release.
The price of food-related goods has increased by 1.1 percent in the past year, according to the Food Price Survey.
