The McLaren team was jubilant after qualifying for the season's final Formula 1 race in Abu Dhabi.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri finished first and second in qualifying, a demonstration of McLaren's strength as they lead the constructors' championship ahead of Ferrari with one race remaining.

A perfect day for us, says Norris in Viaplay's broadcast.

McLaren has not won the constructors' championship since 1998. Individually, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has already secured the World Championship title, but in qualifying in Abu Dhabi, the Dutchman had to settle for fifth place.
