Saturday and the third day of play means "Moving day". A day where it's about taking your chances and climbing the leaderboard to have a good position for Sunday.
And for a long time, it looked like Ludvig Åberg wouldn't quite keep up when, among others, Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) and Bryson DeChambeau (USA) rolled in their birdies. After half the round, Åberg was eight strokes behind McIlroy in the lead.
But suddenly everything changed.
When almost the entire top layer started having problems, the putts started falling into place for Åberg.
After going par on the first 13 holes, the Swede made three straight birdies and climbed place by place on the leaderboard.
His best shot was his seven-iron on the 16th hole.
The world number five used the contours of the undulating green perfectly, landed the ball in the back and let it fall about a meter from the hole. From there, he made an easy birdie.
I'm pleased with how I finished, says Åberg after the round.
When the 25-year-old from Eslöv finished, he did so on 69 strokes and the hope of a green jacket is not gone.
Rory McIlroy leads on –12 and is joined in the lead by Bryson DeChambeau, –10.
Corey Conners lies third on –8 and Åberg shares fourth place on –6 with Patrick Reed.
I'm psyched. I basically have nothing to lose, what I can do is try to just go out and have fun, says Åberg.
