Kylian Mbappé has scored his two first league goals in the Real Madrid jersey. The French attacking star's goal double secured the 2-0 win against Real Betis.
The late Sunday meeting was goalless until the middle of the second half. Then, Federico Valverde opened up the Betis defense with a clever heel pass on a counter-attack. The clever move freed Mbappé, who calmly rolled in 1-0 with his left foot in front of his new home crowd at Santiago Bernabéu.
With a quarter of an hour left, Mbappé laid the ball on the penalty spot and then scored the 2-0 goal, which in practice secured Real Madrid's three points.
In the top of La Liga, full-point Barcelona has already made a small gap after four rounds, thanks to Real's drawn away matches against both Mallorca and Las Palmas.
