For the first time in six months, Kylian Mbappé will play national team football. The attacking star is selected for France's quarterfinal matches against Croatia in the Nations League next week.
Mbappé was left out of the French squad in November.
It's for the best, said national team captain Didier Deschamps at the time, citing that Mbappé was struggling both physically and mentally.
At that point, the investigation into a suspected rape in connection with Mbappé's Stockholm visit in October was still ongoing, a case in which several media outlets reported that the Real Madrid player was involved in some way. The investigation was dropped in December.
France will meet Croatia in Split next Thursday. The return match will be played in Paris three days later.
