In the application, Maxwell claims that "new evidence" shows that she "did not receive a fair trial by independent jurors who came to court with an open mind."
According to AFP, applications of this kind are often a last-ditch attempt by convicted criminals to have their convictions overturned and are likely to be rejected.
Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for his involvement in Epstein's sex crimes.
In early October, the US Supreme Court rejected Maxwell's request for a stay.
