Max Verstappen, the multiple world champion, had problems right away in the classic city race. He was forced to retire on the first lap after discovering a fault in his car. According to several media outlets, it was an engine problem.

"Hey guys, what the hell. It's only been 500 meters," Verstappen shouted over the radio to his team.

The race then continued with several incidents and a red flag. In the end, 19-year-old Italian Kimi Antonelli won. Lewis Hamilton finished second and Isack Hadjar third.

"It's been a wonderful weekend. The car gave me more confidence, and it worked out," Antonelli said.
