Sjöholm, 54, is leaving his job as national team coach after four years in the position. During that period, he led Sweden to three World Cup gold medals out of a possible three.
"It feels like the right time for someone new to take over this honorable assignment," Sjöholm said in a press release.
The Swedish Bandy Association has begun the process of finding a replacement.
