The own goal that for a long time looked like it would give Fulham the victory at Craven Cottage in London came in the 63rd minute.
Lisandro Martínez was a few metres from the goal line, but the Manchester United centre-back was completely caught off guard by a goalkeeper’s rebound and headed the ball into his own net.
In the 89th minute, the equaliser came - also somewhat fortunately. Matheus Cunha took a shot from distance that was directed into the goal via the foot of home defender David Affengruber.
Manchester United have just five points after as many games. It is even harder for Fulham, who with their two points are still waiting for their first win.
The blue-and-yellow national team midfielder Hugo Larsson came on in the 77th minute for Fulham.
