Colorado had a great opportunity to cut the teams' Stanley Cup semifinal series after being up 3–0 by the 14th minute. Swedish captain Gabriel Landeskog set the tone early with his 1–0 goal.
But a three-goal lead wasn't enough.
Vegas got going with five straight goals in the final two periods. Swedish forward William Karlsson scored the first of those goals, and Vegas held on for a 5–3 win.
Vegas now leads the series 3–0.
