Norén has now played a total of eleven Masters rounds in his career, and he still has no scores under par.
During Thursday's opening round, Norén wasn't even close. He got off to a great start with a birdie on the second, but followed that up with a double bogey on the third. The rest of the round was a struggle, and 77 strokes left Norén tied for 65th. He has yet to find the recipe to master Augusta.
I think it's frustrating, especially when I know I have a bit of a hard time with the short-range shots on this surface for some reason. I haven't felt comfortable. So you come out with a bit of an attitude that if I get difficult chips it's going to be tough. You shouldn't think like that, but when you don't feel like you have all the pieces in the game, it becomes pretty tough.
