Things are going well for the Swedish so-called "extraction shooter" "Arc Raiders", a multiplayer game that is based on cooperation during dangerous missions where players must survive and get out ("extract") to keep their rewards.
"It's been a little over a week since we opened the tunnels for you to make your way to the surface, and this past weekend we reached over 700,000 concurrent Raiders on the surface! We're so excited to have you all here!" developer Embark writes on its website .
According to South Korean publisher Nexon, the game has sold more than four million copies worldwide, which means that it has earned well over a billion kronor in sales. Since its launch on October 30, the game has maintained the top spot on Steam's global sales list, in fierce competition with, among others, the partly Swedish-developed "Battlefield 6".
