Allegri was fired by Milan after last season, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in the club's management. It was the 58-year-old's second spell at the club.
Now the Italian has signed a three-year contract with Serie A rivals Napoli.
Antonio Conte, who led Napoli to the league title in the 2024-2025 season, left his coaching job at the club after last season and is one of the favourites to take over the Italian national team.
Allegri has previously coached Juventus and Cagliari, among others.
