Martin Ponsiluoma ran through a portal where Swedish flags were waving and then rockets were fired and cake was eaten for the biathlon gold medalist. "It's incredibly fun. It means a lot," he said.

The Swedish biathlon national team celebrated their gold medalist outside the hotel in Antholz together with Norway, who are staying at the same hotel and who took silver in both the women's and men's events with Maren Kirkeeide and Sturla Holm Lægreid.

"It was a nightmare going through the Swedish gate," says Lægreid.

Lægreid said it heartily, allowing Ponsiluoma to be the main character for once.

"It's incredibly fun to be able to do something like this. It means a lot. I'm incredibly happy to be part of this team and to experience this," Ponsiluoma tells TT.
