"Being able to wear the sky-blue colours has been an honor. I leave Malmö with my head held high and my heart full. I came here as a player, but I leave as a Malmöite," the former national team player tells MFF's website.
Now 37, Olsson returned to Sweden to join Helsingborg after a spell as a foreign professional in the British Isles in 2020. This was followed by a stay in Häcken before signing for Malmö in August 2021.
Olsson made 116 appearances for the club, winning three Swedish Championship titles and two Swedish Cup titles.
