The Film Pen 2024 went to Emma Engström and Mårten Blomkvist received the Honorary Pen when the Film Publicists' Association handed out this year's awards.

Mårten Blomkvist has been writing about film since the 1970s, primarily in Dagens Nyheter, but in recent years also through biographies about both Bo Widerberg and Roy Andersson.

"A relaxed stylist with humor as a weapon. A classic lover who never stops being curious about the art of film", writes the jury in its motivation for the Honorary Pen.

Emma Engström receives the Film Pen for her work in Kulturnytt at Sveriges Radio, "analytical accuracy attracts her with a steady hand, drawing listeners into the wonderful world of film", writes the jury.

"From her west coast horizon, she brings in much-needed international perspectives and creates cultural context for the art of film."

The other award winners this year are Ida Johansson and Emma Örtlund, who are awarded as Film Couple of the Year for "It Could Have Been Us", while Loran Batti is awarded the prize A Special View for "G-21 Scenes from Gottsunda".

The Cinemateque is awarded the PR-Toad.

The Film Pen has been awarded by the Film Critics' Association since 1962.
