On Tuesday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that Russian athletes will be allowed to participate starting with the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
Kostyuk criticised the announcement after the 2-0 victory in sets over Jasmine Paolini.
I absolutely do not agree with this decision. But it feels like many people have spoken out on the issue. They obviously do not agree either. At the same time, I do not think anything will change. I just want to go out on the court and hopefully beat every single Russian I meet in the Olympics, that's all, says the Ukrainian.
Kostyuk will face Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic in the semifinals.
