Married at First Sight participant Julia Jansson agrees with criticism that the show has become more like reality TV

This fall’s season of SVT’s “Married at First Sight” has been criticized for increasingly resembling a reality show. Participant Julia Jansson agrees with the criticism.

Two of the relationship experts, Anna Bennich and Tobias Sahlin, have announced that they will not take part in any more seasons because they are dissatisfied with how the programme has been edited and feel that relationship advice has been given a secondary role.

Participant Julia Jansson agrees with the criticism.

Looking back now, you’re shocked by how much they cut. All you see is me sitting and crying and us with the psychologists, she tells P4 Örebro.

According to Jansson, each episode got worse and worse.

The first episodes were very nice, but then it was just screaming and panic.

Charles Frans, a producer at SVT, told P4 Örebro in a comment that they are not deaf to the fact that many people think the format is “rattling” and that it is moving in a “sharper” direction.
